One of the best code editors on iPad and leading the field. Hope it continues to receive this level of support and adds code completion and more full IDE features over time. Also thumbs up for the fair price! Not another subscription phew

UPDATE 10-04-2017: I've not used GoCoEdit for several months now. Due to lack of response by author. I went back to Textastic.I've used GoCoEdit for the past 3 months. Mainly for brainstorming ideas that popup (happens a lot) or just to try stuff out when commuting, or when waiting, etc.The built in local server is a life safer. Because of it, I can work completely offline. And there are no security related JS limitations when requesting local project files.I'm using GoCoEdit for laying out web designs (truly mobile first) and for AngularJS (for web browser based apps). And the only thing I find awkward/missing when coding with Angular, is that the AngularJS directives are not highlighted in one (or more) separate colours. They have the same colour as the HTML tags. Which makes them harder to spot.The syntax mode is html. And I can't find an AngularJS syntax mode in de dropdown. Also, I'm too lazy to learn how to create one.GoCoEdit's code completion, command line, symbols and undo keys above the keyboard are also very helpful. But how do I do a redo?Shaking my phone and tapping redo is not always doing the right thing or there are too few redos.Before GoCoEdit I used Coda and Textastic.I will not use Coda anymore. I never got used to the weird UI. Sorry guys I tried. It's clumsy. And also, last time I used Coda, it didn't have a built-in local server like GoCoEdit and Textastic.I have some Bootstrap based theme designs (only the layouts for mobile devices) in Coda which I will transfer to GoCoEdit to cut up and code in WP. Will be fun to find out if I can finish that in GoCoEdit on an iPhone screen.I also have one project in Textastic, an Indeed backfiller addon for job boards or as an addon for non job boards. Textastic is much much better than Coda. But I prefer GoCoEdit more than Textastic now. I don't feel any urge to go back to Textastic now that I'm using GoCoEdit. So that project will eventually also move to GoCoEdit.I wish that GoCoEdit had the same truly dark look of Textastic when Textastic is set to Editor Theme : Blackboard, UI Theme : Black, and Dark Keyboard switched to On.Right now, the Blackboard theme in GoCoEdit has a deep dark blue background.All this on iPhone 6s Plus 128GB.Last but not least. The developer of GoCoEdit responds quickly to queries, etc.GoCoEdit is highly recommended.Tip: One thing I noticed with coding and laying out designs on a small screen directly, and without fleeing to the desktop, is how creative you become with resolving UI issues inherent to small screens.Tip: Use a dark theme and keyboard with any editor you may use. It can give you 1+ hour more battery (screen on) time.
GoCoEdit is highly recommended.

Many editors are made to look cool, or have many half-tested options just to fill some feature comparison checkboxes. GoCoEdit however is clearly made with one goal in mind: to let you edit code. Stuff I always needed a Mac for, I can now do easily on my iPhone.It's a really superb editor. Don't be put off by its less flashy looks; this is a grade A workhorse.

This remote file drawer is unique among its peers. SSH works great, in a perfect world I'd also be able to work inside cloud prover files without importing them, or at least import/export entire dirs. This would work better with 'workingcopy'. Syntax highlighting kicks in a bit slow (even on iPad pro), and it is missing some features like comment entire line with a shortcut. But all-in-all, this is the first workable editor I have found.
