The app is free to download. Subscribers receive unlimited access. App subscribers have full access to the website, including the archive and most recent issue. Users who have trouble accessing stories can contact Customer Care for assistance.
Non-subscribers may access the app by starting a 7-day free trial which automatically renews for $11.99 per month or $119.99 annually, unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The Apple account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period and will state the cost of renewal. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable.
Subscriptions may be managed by the user, and auto-renewal may be turned off by updating the user’s App Store Subscription settings after purchase.

The page refresh doesn’t work and when you open your account your library seems to be “empty”, search doesn’t work properly as well

Dark mode would make it golden!

I love The New Yorker magazine for all the good stuff: writing, journalism, humor. I’ve been a subscriber for over a decade now. I really enjoy the app, but there’s one setting that would make a huge difference: dark mode. I usually read to wind down at the end of the day and a bright white screen is hard on the eyes after a long day of screens. Just a suggestion :-)
Worst customer service ever

I bought a subcription fo my wife: digita and print. As a Christmas pressent after watching the documentary on netflix. My wife had the same idea and bought me a digital sub for Christmas. So you would think that we could cancel the digital sub that my wife bought me. Nope. Countless emails to their customer service where denied at first. No answer for the first two months. And after that, nothing. No service at all. I really like the magazine and digital service. But I cannot stomach another subscription after this horribel experience.

Crosswords no longer working

Since this week the crosswords in the app only show two rows of the keyboard, and no scrolling option. So impossible to solve clues including the letters z x c v b n and m.
