App is very slow, but the response of there “customer care” is even worser then that! We are already waiting for almost 9 weeks on a response of them!

Before I start, I’ll mention that I’m a software engineer and fully understand that software will almost always have bugs and pain-points. I’m almost always empathetic to applications with bugs. After being bumped off our KLM flight about 32 hours before take-off, KLM booked us onto a Lufthansa flight.My partner and I booked for additional luggage for both of us on KLM and wanted to book the same for our flight on Lufthansa. While trying to go through the self-checkin flow, you already get a sense of the lack of attention to UX that’s in the app. When it came to booking extra luggage, the flow is deep in some obscure place in the app and website… and when you find it, the call to action does not work- so you cannot actually book extra luggage online. I get hold of a support agent who ends up telling me that I’ll need to pay for this at the airport even though airport charges apply and that was the best I can get from them. Yes, there probably is a window where you can book this but it’s worth noticing two things: I was recently bumped to this flight and there is no user-friendly explanation about this “window”. I’ll probably never use this app (and carrier) again until this app is more user-friendly.
