Too bad the keyboard is not fully supported

Brings back the old days. It is a real shame the keyboard of my iPad is not fully supported. Cannot turn and shoot with the keyboard, but I can move change weapons and open doors. 5 stars otherwise.

Could be awesome, but controls need improvement

Great to have a new version that works on the latest IOS, with proper save game support, nightmare mode and cheats.... but unfortunately the clunky controls ruin it all. It is just not playable this way. Please implement the smooth controls of the older IOS version, with a separate shoot button and aiming that does not jump when you lift your finger. If that is fixed, it will become the awesome game that it deserves to be once more!

Prior to the iOS 13 update it was a bit annoying playing it with the touch controls but now I can connect my PS4 controller to the phone and play it with the controller which makes it AWESOME

I see a lot of criticism of the control layout. It takes some getting uses to, and it’s a little wobbly and slippery sometimes. I tend to miss-tap the shoot button sometimes. But really its fine and probably as good as they could’ve made it. They thought of giving the player two shoot buttons, in practice you’ll probably use one for precision shooting and one for shooting + strafing. If you are having a lot of trouble or need some warming up, no shame in choosing a slightly lower difficulty for your first episode. By episode 2 you’ll be a lot better at the game. Other than that, it’s Doom so you can’t go wrong.

With all new touch controls, controller support, and 16:9 rendering, our new update for DOOM & DOOM II on all platforms is our biggest one yet! We have also improved performance, and now support 120hz devices, which can be enabled in Video Options.
