okay but what’s cash stuffing?
1. create envelopes – create an envelope for each expense category like food, eating out, rent
2. stuff your envelopes – put all of your cash into envelopes based on how much you’ll spend before you get paid again
3. spend your money – this is the fun part - don’t feel guilty for spending your hard earned money. when you buy something, use the cash from the corresponding envelope
4. get paid, repeat - record your income (cha-ching) and go back to step 2, stuff your envelopes

Spend 20 minutes putting in all the numbers, names etc only to get a screen to pay either a yearly or a monthly fee to use the app any further. Sucks because the app looked good, but when you are budgeting you can’t have another bill added to ur already existing ones..

Just to clarify, the app is not free, but we offer a free trial so you can explore everything before deciding if it is a fit.Creating an account is required to use the app, since it saves your progress and keeps your data synced. That is standard for most apps. You are not charged at sign-up, and you are not forced to subscribe. You are shown the paywall and can choose between monthly or annual plans. The trial starts right away, and if you do not cancel before it ends, the subscription will begin automatically.Our goal is to help people feel more in control of their money, and we often hear that the app pays for itself. If I can’t even test the app without buying subscription or signing up for free trial that I have to remember to cancel, I don’t see the point of it being free to download.

hey besties, budget bestie has a fresh new look: a lighter pink, a plus right in the middle, and cleaner envelope cards that show what's left at a glance. when money is waiting, home shows one stuff now button. new envelopes pick an emoji from the name, or choose your own. you can see the amount you type while you stuff. we fixed a few things too: stuffing never changes an envelope you didn't touch, the recap's money in list matches what you made, and if your connection drops as you open the app, it lets you in and brings your envelopes back on its own once you're online. keep on stuffing!
