Keeps crashing on iPhone 12

This is a fun game to play from time to time. Unfortunately since the recent update in April 2024 it keeps crashing on iPhone 12. I can’t get the game to run any longer than 30 seconds or so before it crashes. It starts up again quickly and I can continue where I left off, but it’s annoying!
