Fixed • Opening a script no longer freezes the app. Tapping a PDF stored in iCloud Drive that hadn't finished downloading could lock up Inkwell Reader and, if you switched apps while it was stuck, close it outright. Scripts now open in the background with a quiet "Opening…" cue, so the app stays responsive wherever the file lives. Improved • Watermarked PDFs come in clean. A name or notice stamped across every page no longer leaks into your script as stray action lines, whether it runs diagonally or straight across. • Dialogue stays together. Long speeches from PDF, Final Draft, or Fountain no longer split partway through, so Sides highlighting and line counts are accurate. • Character extensions are kept. (V.O.), (O.S.), and (CONT'D) tags survive Fountain import, and continued cues are never doubled. • Acts and sequences round-trip from Final Draft. Section headers open cleanly, and an action line that follows one is no longer dropped.
