Reeder only syncs what’s important — your subscriptions, timeline position and tagged items (including Links, Favorites, Bookmarks and Later) — across all your devices using iCloud, making syncing faster and more efficient, with changes pushed to your other devices within seconds. Content is fetched directly from the sources, ensuring you always have the latest updates.

- Option to show item counts for tags in the source list, disabled by default (see Settings → General)
- Entries in the item list now display the Later, Bookmark and Favorite states
- Export all items of a tag as JSON (this will create a JSON feed compatible file)
- New Diagnostics section in the settings lets you see how long any of your feeds take to refresh (see Settings → Diagnostics). The idea is to be able to track down which of your feeds might cause long refresh times.
IMPROVED
Various improvements to how Reeder handles the ordering of newly fetched items:
- Improved handling of older items for feeds that randomly add old entries or add entries with a delay
- Improved ordering of items with identical published dates for more consistent results across devices
CHANGED
- Timeline position is saved on first open of a newly added feed/folder/tag (previously on first scroll)
FIXED
- Podcast play position sometimes not syncing when the app is in background
- Some favicons not loading
- Some RSS feed discovery issues when subscribing

Needs more options
Pretty good so far, but it needs more options to customize display options like Reeder 5. I really miss the option to remove the article image and shorten the paragraph text. Changing the relative time to absolute would be good to have as well.
Great app, but disappointed with subscription model
I’ve been a long-time user of Reeder 4, which I purchased back when it was a one-time payment. It’s an excellent app for reading RSS feeds, with a clean interface and great functionality. However, I’m disappointed that the new version is tied to a subscription model. While I don’t mind paying to upgrade, I strongly prefer a one-time payment option for apps like this.
Unfortunately, because of the subscription approach, I won’t be upgrading to the latest version. I’ll continue using Reeder 4 as long as possible, but it’s disappointing to see this shift. Hopefully, future versions will offer more flexible payment options.
Please no subscription
I would pay double, triple, quadruple the price of the application of Reeder 4 because I loved it that much.
However this isn’t an upgrade, we get less functionality for a higher price. I cannot import my feeds, I’ve got no amoled dark mode.
So thanks but no thanks, im gonna skip this
