Big red LED digits allow you to see the timer even at great distance so you are free to move while you give the talk of your life. SpeakerClock emulates the famous countdown clock that all speakers at TED conferences need to adhere to. Start the clock and place it within your view when giving a public talk to see at a glance how much speaking time you have remaining. The "traffic light" gives you visual feedback when it's time to wrap up or make your closing remarks. Use it for actual public speeches or train with it for the fateful day when you too get the call to speak on important issues. "Personally I use SpeakerClock when timing the recording of YouTube videos. This way I never run over the maximum 10 minutes there and the "traffic light" helps me nail my closing arguments every time!"

Very hard to use

Warning: this app is only useful if your presentation lasts 18 minutes.Every time you tap somewhere on the screen the app "jumps" back to 18 minutes. The publisher calls this a "preset" you can buy more presets via in app purchase. You can set another time by swiping left and right, personally I find it very hard to set a right time, especially when the app jumps back again to its preset 18 minutes.Sorry to say this app is a waste currently.

You can set longer times by adjusting the time first by swiping. Then press-and-hold the 1 to store the duration. Same for the red and yellow times, but there you long-press on the yellow and red buttons respectively.

You can set longer times by adjusting the time first by swiping. Then press-and-hold the 1 to store the duration. Same for the red and yellow times, but there you long-press on the yellow and red buttons respectively.

The app is very useful for timing presentations: I use it all the time. The developers only forgot to mention that to set a preset, you have first to set the desired time by swiping with your finger, and then to press the preset button, the round button with number 1 in it, for some time.

Check out the recent updates! I have completely rewritten the app and it is now also on Apple TV and Mac, same single purchase. The "longer than 99:99" is one of the next things I'll do, promise! :-)Also, sounds I am considering more deeply now. But I think I'll have to make that configurable to the user's taste. What do you think?
