I tried Otter.ai for a short time but have now stopped using it due to major privacy issues. The service added itself to a meeting in my calendar without my knowledge or consent – something I find deeply intrusive and unacceptable under GDPR.It’s also unclear how my data is being stored and used, and there’s little transparency about how to review or delete what has been saved. This is not a responsible way to handle sensitive conversations or meetings.I cannot recommend this app until they take user privacy seriously and provide clear control over personal data.

If you complete the 2 step process of deleting the conversation and emptying the Trash folder, the conversation(s) will be permanently deleted and not recoverable. Regarding your meetings, it sounds like you may have enabled OtterPilot to join your meetings. You can manage OtterPilot in Account - Settings - Meeting settings on mobile, or Account Settings - Meetings on web. You have full control over whether OtterPilot joins your meetings or not. Otter does not join your meetings unless you have enabled it to.
