The app now recovers on its own. The list and map refresh ages and colours by themselves while the app is open, and fetch fresh positions when you return to the app. Previously every collar could stay red and "more than 48 hours ago" even though they were reporting — until the app was force-quit. The list now also says when it is showing saved positions, as the map always has, so old data no longer reads as fact. You no longer need to share your Telespor password to bring your search party along. Where the app used to ask others to log in with your Telespor user, it now points to search-party invitations: each helper gets their own access via a link, covered by the same subscription.

Your free trial now starts when you actually see your flock. The seven free days used to start the moment you logged in – so if you downloaded the app outside the grazing season, the trial could run out before you ever saw a single sheep on the map. It now starts when your flock appears with reporting collars. You will also be told before the trial ends: a reminder on day 5, and a clear countdown over the final days.

What's new in version 1.17.1: • Cleaner sheep detail screen: "Navigate to the sheep" is now the main button, with "Mark as gathered" and "Mark out of service" as two equal buttons side by side. Active markings are clearly colored on the buttons, in the top card and on the map dot. • Fixed a bug on Android where the keyboard covered the form you were typing in. When the app asked "What's your name?" after login, both the name field and the Save button were hidden behind the keyboard. What's new in version 1.17: • Collars that haven't reported for more than 14 days now raise their own alert. Until now a collar that had been silent for three weeks looked exactly like one that lost contact last night – both were red. • You can mark such a collar as "out of service". The marking is shared with the whole search team and records that someone has assessed the situation, so the alert doesn't reappear as unresolved for everyone else. • Marked collars are dimmed on the map and collected in their own section at the bottom of the list. Prefer to hide them completely? Choose that under Settings → Collars out of service. • If the collar starts reporting again, the app tells you – and the sheep shows normally straight away. Clearer timestamps: color coding and lists are now driven by the age of the GPS position, and the app shows "Last contact" separately when the collar has reported more recently than the position. You can now see both how old the position is and that the collar is still in contact.

Bug fixes: position sharing now stops on logout, a clear notice is shown when location permission is missing, and subscription checks handle poor connectivity better. Also adds crash reporting for faster debugging.
