UKENS ORD is a Norwegian vocabulary app for pupils and independent learners.
Join a shared classroom activity by scanning your teacher's QR code or entering the eight-digit code. First, consider whether you can use the word in a sentence. Then read the explanation, discuss the word and try it yourself. Your teacher controls the lesson on ukensord.no.
Each word card brings together a definition, an example and source attribution. With an account, classroom pupils can return to available weekly words and their own answers in the Ordbank. Classroom membership is required for pupil access. Independent learning with an active personal entitlement uses the same account and offers up to three new random words each day. Curated decks have separate access and limits.
Try the clearly labelled demo without an active classroom. Demo answers are not stored.
Teacher controls are provided on the website. The app includes a teacher information screen with a button that opens the website in a browser.
The learning content and interface are in Norwegian.
