“Japanese, Chinese, and English”
Official courses are offered for studying Japanese, Chinese, and SAT English. The Japanese courses cover the 6,000 most commonly used words in Japanese. The Chinese courses cover the 2,000 most commonly used words in spoken Chinese and over 1,200 words commonly used in newspapers and magazines. (All Chinese courses are available in both Traditional and Simplified Chinese.) All words have sample sentences and audio.

iKnow! presents items in a spaced rehearsal pattern optimized for efficient learning. iKnow! adapts to differences in learning speeds and item difficulty, constantly measuring memory and predicting performance across all of your items. iKnow! does this by tracking your performance and then predicting your optimal review time on an item-by-item basis.
All you have to do is push the study button, and iKnow! tells you what to learn.

Best Japanese learning app?
So far, this is the best app I've come by for learning Japanese. For only 800-1000 yen (about $10) a month you get access to katakana, hiragana and 6000 core Japanese words (obviously in full Japanese with kanji also). If you are really new to it all lessons can be done in Romanji also. Important: you can do them offline after downloading the courses. Good for on the go.
The thing that makes this app better for me than most other apps is how you interact with it. Not only does the app do the usual "pick between 5 options to fill in answer", but in every lesson they will also ask you to write it and also finish partial to full sentences. This action of actually writing it is vital for learning a new language. When always given the option to chose from it can too easily end up becoming a wild guessing game.
Good track of status. Words learned and words mastered. Weekly goals etc.
Comparing this to Rosetta Stone with its $50 per month price tag, non offline iPad app and way less content on iPhone app, this is better in every way. A lot more interaction here, words put into sentences and actual translations when you need then (Rosetta stone has you guessing cluelessly at points to what the sentence is actually saying).
This was my very first review. Simply had to write it for this app and service.
