Ikke helt på nivå med Dropbox

OneDrive har mange gode funksjoner, og er godt integrert i Office-pakken. Desverre for OneDrive kan Dropbox integreres like godt og er samtidig enklere å forholde seg til. Den største utfordringen er at filer på maskinen og filer på sørver ikke alltid er i sync, så du får ofte flere versjoner av filer uten at du ønsker det. For meg går det greit, men for folk som ikke spiser programvare til frokost blir det for tungvindt.Den største årsaken til kaos er at OneDrive og Sharepoint gjør samme jobb, men bidrar til forvirring. Dette må Microsoft få på plass så raskt som mulig. For meg er OneDrive på tross av dette et veldig tilfredsstillende verktøy.

THAT DAMN NAGGING ABOUT RATING IT IN THE APP STORE ALL THE TIME IS TOO MUCH!!! Yes, service is cheap and roomy, files sync more or less reliably, the mobile app is crap but works - but the software gets about one gazillion billion updates a week and THAT NAGGING ABOUT GIVING IT FIVE STAR REVIEWS ALL - THE - TIME - SUCKS - AND - WASTE - MY - TIME!! So here ya go, one star, that’s what you get! If not for that **##$% NAGGING AND CHILDISH BEHAVIOR AND INSANE AMOUNTS OF UPDATES - ALL coming with a warning that I need to click OK on - I would have considered it to get 4 stars. As of now - no dice! One star and a tip about removing this function or let the users disable this stupid nonsense! BTW, I am currently looking into using a different, despite being more expensive, service.

OneDrive fungerer fint til å sikkerhetskopiere innhold til. Jeg stoler ikke på min Windows-maskin, som derfor er grunnen til at jeg lagrer mange filer her. Jeg ønsker også tilgang til de fra min MacBook Air, som gjør OneDrive til et fint program for denne bruken. iCloud er generelt bedre til alt, men med dette i tillegg, har jeg 10 GB å gå på. Et problem med OneDrive, både på Windows 10-maskinen og macOS-maskinen, er mulighetene til å stoppe synkroniseringen. Jeg sitter gjerne på bussen med denne datamaskinen, og bruker begge på hytten. Disse stedene kobler jeg meg på mobilnettet til telefonen, med 3 GB tilgjengelig i måneden. Når jeg så lagrer ting (rundt 150 MB per gang) til OneDrive, ønsker jeg ikke å bruke opp min datamengde på filer jeg ikke trenger å synkronisere i det tidsrommet. Da er det praktisk å kunne midlertidig stoppe den. Ett av problemene med dette, er den korte stopptiden. Når jeg for eksempel er på hytten, vil den begynne å synkronisere igjen av seg selv, etter maks 24 timer. Dette er tungvint, og bruker mye data til ingen nytte. Kunne jeg derimot aktivert en permanent innstilling som sørget for at synkronisering ikke fant sted når tilkoblet telefon, hadde dette vært flott. Det hadde løst problemet mitt. Da kunne jeg latt være å tenke på unødvendige datakostnader tilknyttet OneDrive, og gjort hverdagen enklere. (med tanke på datahverdagen)
