Ratings and Reviews

Improving
The latest update prevents my Apple Watch from connecting.
The new app is a lot better. But a few suggestions below:
1. Speed for starting and getting lock status on Apple Watch must be better
2. Use Face ID to unlock. It should not be necessary to enter the master code
3. Siri integration would be really nice
Developer Response ,
Hi,
Thank you for your suggestions. I've passed these to the product team.
We are currently testing a fix for the refresh issues on Apple Watch. For now you should be able to work around this by going into the app and logging out. Then log back in.
If you would like to take part in the test you can sign up here - https://testflight.apple.com/join/NyRsFbmD
Please be aware that this is still being developed and you may find other issues.
Thank you for your patience,
Yale
Utterly terrible user experience
I wasn’t looking forward to setting up the Yale Smart Hub and the app and connecting it with Yale Doorman after reading all the poor reviews both here and in various webshops.
But since I own a Yale Doorman, I want modern “remote” functionality and I don’t want anything to do with Verisure, I just hoped the reviewers were exaggerating. How bad could it possibly be? And in the shop, I was positively surprised to learn that Yale was part of the huge security company Assa Abloy, and that the Yale Smart Hub system consisted of all sorts of home alarm gadgets I’m planning on buying, such as cameras, sensors, etc.
Well, the system deserves all the poor reviews. The app user interface is badly designed, it’s sluggish and features are poorly documented. It took me 3 (!) utterly frustrating hours, a factory reset (also means unscrewing the door handle), a support phone call and from their side a remote firmware update to make everything work. Luckily, I had opened a second door. If not, I would have permanently locked myself out in the process.
The user experience was so lousy that I’m not trusting the system. Will the door open tomorrow? Who knows what will happen after I upgrade to the next version of iOS. Will I be able to manage my codes and keys?
They need to get rid of their programmers, hire new people, including UX experts and start all over again.
I think I’ll rather invest in Google Nest, iRing or some other company that knows how to program and take user experience seriously than to count on this system as my future home alarm system.

Hi,
I'm very sorry to hear you had problems resetting your Yale Doorman lock. I will pass this feedback to the lock development team.
If you would like to give feedback on how we could improve the app you can send it from the links in the Help (?) at the top of the screen and mark it for the attention of the product team.
Thank you,
Yale
