■藤ノ木古墳（史跡）
藤ノ木古墳は、直径50m以上を測る６世紀後半に造られた円墳で、全長約１４ｍの大型横穴式石室(よこあなしきせきしつ)内に朱塗りの刳抜式家形石棺(くりぬきしきいえがたせっかん)が置かれています。出土品（国宝）のうち、特に金銅製馬具(こんどうせいばぐ)は優品(ゆうひん)で、未盗掘(みとうくつ)の石棺内
からは、多くの玉類のほか、装飾性豊かな大刀や剣、金銅製冠や履など、被葬者の絶大な権力を示す副葬品が出土しています。
