The courses were developed by the government and used by government officials before being deployed to other countries. They are arguably some of the best language courses ever developed. People often ask. How do government officials learn a language so fast? The answer is that they study these courses.
The courses use what is known as guided imitation. It's goal is to teach one to speak easily, fluently, with very little accent, and to do this without conscious effort, just as one speaks his own language without conscious effort.
The courses were originally designed for a student to attend six hours per day in class and an additional two hours studying. This allowed a student to learn a language in as little as six months.
Language Book Reader makes these courses even better. It automatically traverses a course in the proper order without any effort on the student. It also implements what is known as a Repeat and Learn system. What this does is break up paragraphs and sentences into smaller chucks to allow a student to methodically repeat exactly what is heard from the audio. The course gives the student more control over how the course is played. The system also allows the student, once learned, to skip any study pages and concentrate solely on the pronunciation. A unit can be skipped or repeated based on the students preference. This enables a student to be able to more quickly speak the language fluently. It has been proven that once a word or phrase can be spoken fluently, it most certainly will be understood when someone hears it. Repeat and Learn. Hear it, say it, Done.
The courses add AI intelligence to read aloud the study material. It would not be practical to try to study material on a mobile device. Language Book Reader will read to you the study pages and even describes charts and diagrams just as if an instructor was teaching you. This makes this very practical to learn a language on a mobile device.
Language Book Reader goes one step further. It adds books that are not from the list of government courses and turns them into a Repeat and Learn audio book. For instance, the gospel of John is done in Spanish with English translations. Each chapter is done twice. Once as an audio book and also as Repeat and Learn book where each phrase is broken into smaller chucks to be repeated by the student. You can configure the book as an audio book, a repeat and learn book, or both.
