I purchased an iPad specifically for studying and note-taking, hoping Apple Notes would streamline my workflow and enhance my productivity. Unfortunately, my experience with the app has been nothing short of frustrating. The biggest issue is lag while writing. The app struggles to handle anything beyond a single page of notes, even when the files are saved locally on the iPad. This defeats the purpose of having a high-performance device for note-taking. When I try to create another page to continue my notes, the problems worsen. During the process of merging or shifting notes between pages, the new notes often end up overlapping with previously written content, leading to complete disarray. What’s worse, Apple Notes doesn’t even allow undoing these mistakes, leaving me to manually fix the mess. This lack of basic functionality has wasted countless hours—time I could have spent studying. Ironically, I bought this setup to save time and improve the organization of my notes, but it has delivered the opposite result. For a company as renowned as Apple, this is deeply disappointing. If you’re considering Apple Notes for serious note-taking, especially for academic purposes, I recommend looking for better alternatives. It’s simply not worth the hassle.
