Description

The ST BLE Sensor application is used in conjunction with an ST development board and firmware compatible with the BlueST protocol to give you access to all the sensor data, which you can log to different cloud providers, and to update the board firmware directly from a mobile device via the Bluetooth® Low Energy protocol.

After discovery ST development board, the app shows you a list of available demos and you can navigate through them to discover the functionalities of your board. Demos can be related about environmental, cloud, audio, board configuration, machine learning and and many other functionalities.

The application is built on top of the BlueST SDK library implementing the BlueST protocol and helps you export the data easily via Bluetooth® Low Energy.

The application also supports firmware library algorithms like motion-sensor data fusion, activity recognition and pedometer functionality.

Version 5.2.5

This update introduces two new demos: Asset Tracking Demo and MQTT Demo. Additionally, it includes bug fixes to enhance overall performance and stability.


The Asset Tracking Demo is available for the STEVAL-MKBOXPRO (SensorTile.box PRO) board with the STBP-ASSET-TRACKING v1.0.0 firmware and the following adapter boards:
• STEVAL-MKI247A → An adapter board (for a standard DIL24 socket) designed to facilitate the evaluation of the LSM6DSV80X 6-axis IMU. Learn more at: https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/steval-mki247a.html
• STEVAL-MKI251A → An adapter board (for a standard DIL24 socket) designed to facilitate the evaluation of the LSM6DSV320X 6-axis IMU. Learn more at:

This demo enables monitoring of the following events:
• Fall events → Reports the height of the fall.
• Shock events → Provides information on the intensity and duration of the shock.


The MQTT Demo is compatible with all boards and firmware that support BlueSTSDK v2 and include at least one notifying feature. Learn more at: https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/BlueSTSDK_iOS


After entering the MQTT server configuration data (Host URL, Port, Device ID, and optionally Username and Password), it is possible to publish the data received from the Bluetooth feature to the topic “DeviceID/featureName”.


This update also includes fixes for various bugs to improve the user experience.
