A full year of daily verses — each with rich historical and theological context — so Today's Word, Wisdom, and Rhythm stay fresh every day. Plus reliability improvements and refinements throughout. Thank you for reading with Urtext.

A gentle weekly check-in if you've been away — so your reading rhythm doesn't slip. Daily reminders stay on by default to keep you in the Word. Small fixes and polish.

Reading plans no longer skip ahead when you miss a day — mark a day done with a tap when you're ready. The Book of Enoch plan now plays in Daily Listen. Restarting a plan starts fresh, and the plan's translation (KJV/WEB/LSV) now applies. Fixes and polish.

Two new reading plans: The Gospels (Matthew through John) and Romans. Daily Listen now reliably plays Ara’s spoken commentary after each reading. Reading plans now sync correctly when you start one from CarPlay. Refreshed tab bar icons, and clearer prayer tools: Prayer Guide and Prayer Journal. Additional fixes and polish.

Text fixes across Scripture and the Apocrypha: cleaned-up CSB punctuation, restored books in the Bible in Basic English (Judges and Jude), and more accurate translations of several Apocrypha books. Sirach's Prologue is now labelled. Home screen widgets keep a consistent text size.

Fixes Ara reading verse numbers aloud (like "six a") in the Apocrypha. Audio saved on your phone from before the fix is refreshed automatically.

Fixes in this update: • The home screen widget now shows the same verse as Today's Word. The two could previously fall out of step and display different verses. • Restored over 100 verses in the Apocrypha that were not appearing. Passages split into parts (such as 3a and 3b) were being skipped — Additions to Esther chapter 10 now shows all of its verses instead of only the first three. • Corrected stray verse markers that could be read aloud during narration.

Fixes from what you told us: • Verse of the Day widget now changes every morning as it should — on the Home Screen and the Lock Screen. • CarPlay: Ara’s commentary now begins right after the reading instead of leaving a long silence. • Reading plans wait on the day you haven’t read yet, so a missed day is caught up rather than skipped. • CSB and NLT: if an edition can’t load, the app now says so and offers Retry — instead of quietly showing King James text under the wrong name. • Cleaned up stray footnote marks and doubled punctuation that appeared in some chapters.

Family tree colours are now muted to match the rest of the app.
