3d Scanner App‪™‬ 4+

I am a structural engineer and I find this app extremely useful for capturing point cloud data on site that I can then take back to the office and import into my 3D building models. It’s already fantastic but it would be great if there were a few more functions in the point cloud mode such as being able to define range, confidence etc. The fact that it is free is incredible but I would even be happy to pay $10-$30 for a pro version if this helped the developer to invest the time into making this app even more feature rich than it already is. But please don’t go for the subscription model because I don’t want to pay monthly for an app that I only use occasionally.

This feels like the first professional LiDAR app, giving you control of exactly how you want to scan and offering all the export options. It honestly baffles me how other apps are so terrible and charge monthly subscriptions. Then there this app that’s free and does it better.

I would like to provide some feedback as I hope this app gets more attention and development.
- The UI is oversimplified with controls hidden behind unclear menu icons
- The app name and icon is the only unprofessional feeling aspect of this app, and I believe it is a big reason why this app is easily dismissed as a low effort app.

I really appreciate how this app is free, has no ads and no prompt for a subscription. If more controls and options can be added and repackaged as a separate pro version for a one time purchase, many enthusiasts such as myself would happily buy it.

I’ve downloaded what feels like every 3d scanner app on the App Store and so far this is the best all round app I can find. Easy to use, no BS paywalled features. If you just want a cool scanning app that’s useful for mapping out a building for measurements, making scans of objects and playing around with the iPhones most underrated sensor then this app is great. To the devs: if you made a pro version of this app I would probably buy it .
