What does an Airalo eSIM plan come with?
• An Airalo package comes with data (e.g., 1GB, 3GB, 5GB, etc.) valid for a specified time period (e.g., 7 days, 15 days, 30 days, etc.). If you run out of data or your validity period expires, you can top up your eSIM or download a new one right from the Airalo app.
How much does it cost?

Does an eSIM come with a number?

As good as it seems
You know when people say “if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.” Well, not for Airelo or these eSIMs. I was originally sceptical and asked for friends reviews via my social media. With positive responses from one, I braved and tried it for a 7 day USA work trip. Never will I ever go back to roaming/physician sim swap.
Very easy to set up if you follow their instructions. Set up before you go. Phone works instantly in arriving country. You can even turn off your whole phone number for your physical sim if you want peace of mind that it won’t charge you. But leave it on to receive two factor authentication texts. (I chose to set a spend control of $1 as I am NZ based and use 2degrees as my regular carrier, who auto charge $7 per day for international roaming). Came home with not a single cent charged. Very impressed! Have told everyone I know to use an eSIM going forward.

My new travel essential
As another reviewer said, Airalo is actually as good as it seems. I thought it was too good to be true, but it’s worked perfectly for me over the last two weeks travelling through Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau with the Asialink package.
It was easy to set up (did it in my home country before I left), and it only activated once I was in a relevant country. The eSIM was easy to add, with the app guiding me through it (although I already use eSIMs for personal and work use too). I tracked my data usage in the app, and was surprised to see there was even an iOS widget (which I added to my Home Screen). I didn’t buy enough data, but topping up with more data was super easy.
In hindsight, it was probably a little more expensive that buying a travel SIM in each country… but 100% worth it. Being able to use data as soon as I land was great, and it was amazing to not have to worry about finding a reliable SIM once I clear customs in each country.
I will be using Airalo—without a doubt—for all my future travels.

Easy to set up
I was advised by a friend to use Airalo as Roaming charges for One NZ are $8/ day and I needed data on the move for activities we are doing.
It was relatively easy to set up by watching You tube first and having the Airalo set up instructions. I used my own number as Primary and my esim I call Travel.
I’ve had Data roaming Off for my own number but with Airalo have had good internet on the move. We are still travelling in France.
I tried a week esim first and all went smoothly. It was easy to top up. No more installing to do and my new esim for 30 days switched over automatically when the week had expired.
