Description

The AirShare mobile app puts the New Zealand airspace at your fingertips. Log your flights on the go, request access to controlled airspace, and get landowner approvals all in one place.

New Zealand rules for operators of Drones/UAVs are governed by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and are likely to vary to other countries or places you may have flown in.

Using the free AirShare app to plan and log your flights is the easiest way to ensure you are flying safely and by the rules.

- Interactive map showing New Zealand airspace restrictions.
- Official app for requesting access into controlled airspace.

Removing features??

I use this every day for work and when you call the control tower you need to tell them what heights you are flying to (frustrating when you are doing multiple flights each day). When you click on each flight in the app it no longer shows what height you have booked your flight to. Now I have to book it on here and write down everything since this doesn’t keep it. At least it’s not as slow and buggy as it was a couple of months ago.

Mostly ok, a little buggy

It’s great that the app lets us submit flights to ATC and got the most part it works alright.

Tried it on 21 Feb and submitted a flight for 7:40 but it showed up in the app at 6:40. Did two more and the same thing. Had to submit it one hour later to get the “correct” time. The fly now button didn’t show and I have no idea when the flight actually is.

Cannot get past the login page

I have had this app for about maybe 6 months. Used it so often. But all of sudden it no longer goes past the login page. I have tried deleting the app and installing it again I did this 3 times. Still nothing. As much as I loved using it as I flew my drone it’s disappointing. It’s been a lot harder to communicate with traffic control people without the app I have to write down the prov number on my notepad and then call them to confirm flight
