Designer Wardrobe is one of my favourite discoveries since being in NZ. I love the promotion of buying sustainably, the quality of what people sell is great, and the interviews the team have with local designers, stylists, influencers are done well. The app- it has a great layout and format. It also has a lot of bugs & glitches. The below is more for the app dev team to look at resolving: - can’t easily re-open messages between seller and buyer- sometimes it errors, sometimes it shows no messages at all (and yet push notifications alert you that a message is there). - tracking numbers: you can add them as a seller. As a buyer if you click on the tracking number it doesn’t take you to the actual parcel tracking info- it links to NZ post site but not to the specific tracking link for your parcel. this would be served better by using an api call to pull the information through into the app. - listing items: sometimes when listing multiple items in a row, 1 of the items won’t appear after you’ve submitted it in your For Sale list. This is frustrating as you don’t know if the item is coming up for other users or not. - making an offer on an item: I’ve previously had a seller let me know my offer wasn’t showing for them to accept (despite them receiving a notification I’d sent one). I had to submit a new offer again and then it went through.

So, as another reviewer said, push notifications would be great. But there aren’t any at all, which is incredibly dangerous since the products are all so high in price. For example, you can only dispute an order for up to 24 hours after the tracking says it has been received. But what if you aren’t actively tracking it? The tracking is shown within the app, but you aren’t told anything, so you may not receive your order, thinking you’ll get a notification about the tracking, and then not be able to dispute it at all. Also, in the dispute form every line is formatted as if it’s an email, so don’t expect ease of use there. And there’s no way to track a dispute, or a confirmation that your dispute has gone through — again, this is so dangerous when you are dealing with hundreds of dollars. Until the issues are fixed, I’d suggest save your time and use TradeMe or another option, because right now it’s much too risky. I mean, signatures for expensive items aren’t required at all.

I have been an avid user of Deisgner Wardrobe for many years, beginning in the Facebook group. I absolutely love buying second hand quality clothing and the added security of the website. However, th e app often crashes and does not let you view your full watch list (you can only view the latest 10). Also, I believe the wesbite, as well as the app, do not let you Edit shipping costs of descriptions or delete an item if you have an offer waiting. Overall still a fantastic service that I will continue to use but a little bit of software work would make it much user friendly ☺️

The concept off the app is great, but there’s a few bugs that make in difficult to use. One of the biggest errors i’ve noticed is the search function. I’m not sure how this is currently set up, but my search always appear inaccurate. For example, I currently search the word “skirt” and the first 3 results are ‘jamie kay top’, ‘forever new dress’, ‘silk shirt’. The search function should be the easiest way to find things, users shouldn’t have to use multiple filters to get to what they want.Another critic is the inability to adjust notifications. I appreciate notifications on messages or offers, but I don’t want to be notified when something is nearly gone or delisted. There should be an opt in option for different types of notifications, like many apps and website already have.
