Description
FIXiT app is used to report issues to the Wellington City Council - New Zealand.
How to report an issue in 5 steps:
1. Take a photo of the problem
2. Record location either by using the GPS function or enter location manually
3. Provide a brief description of the problem
4. Enter contact details once only
5. Submit your report. The app automatically emails the report to the Wellington City Council

Good idea, dated app
App is pretty basic and could do with some work. Functional though.
Recommend
- suggest a location based on photo metadata
- ability to drag a pin for precise locations
- required contact details align with website (app requires more)
- keep track of your submissions, and outcomes in the app (not just that is has been reported to the right department, but when resolved)
Great tool to get things fixed
Any app like this is only as good as the support provided by the AI and people who coordinate your request to the appropriate team to get the job done. WCC gets 10/10 from me on that front. I find my requests are fed to the right team within the hour (night or day) and action usually takes place within a week. -Fantastic!!
Only gave 4 stars for the app at the moment though because the select or type in address feature is very clunky (and has been for the two years I’ve been using FixIt).
App is not working for me
Does not work at all. I fill out all the fields and try to submit, but it keeps erroring saying some fields aren’t filled out - which is because it has since lost the information I just filled out. I try to fill out the fields again and resubmit, but it just loses some of the filled out fields again.
