After an initial bumpy start with the app it is now working along with the a24 trap which had its first kill within an hour of setting up. From what I can tell most of the negative feedback on the traps is from incorrect set up. Placed correctly I can say from experience these work very well

No auto sign in

It would be a big help to have auto sign in enabled when you get out to the bush to check on the traps and one has forgotten to enable mobile data. Having to manually log in when it’s wet cold windy, glasses are in pockets some where and you’ve hiked over a km to get to the trap is the definition of app rage. How hard can it be to have auto log in. It’s not like there’s a security risk at stake🤦‍♂️

Great App! But needs some work.

Awesome app and makes life so much easier by keeping all kills and data for traps in one place. However definitely needs some work.

App should really better capability to be used offline (by storing data and kills on device). It’s painful to be in a no-service area and not have full functionality. All data should be saved on phone and then later synced with cloud later.

Shared trappers should be able to have full control over traps like the owner. Shared trappers should be able to changed the name and location of traps. I myself have 30 traps and have other people that check them as well as myself. Some times traps need to be moved. And this can’t be changed by shared trappers. I love to see this changed, or to have the option (when sharing) to give shared trappers full control or minimum.

I have recently started to see an issue when replacing lure offline. Once the lure is replaced through the app, the location of the trap changes to a small island in the Pacific Ocean. I have no idea why.

Other than those issues the app works well and makes trapping fun and easy. Hope to see come updates and changes soon.

Chirp is designed to work offline so we’d love to hear more from you on this - can you please email hello@goodnature.co.nz and let us know what functionality seems to be missing in a no-service area so we can clarify what is happening for you? If you can include screenshots of your trap location changing when you replace the lure we’d love to take a look at this too!

You’re correct, shared users cannot relocate or rename traps at this point but this is a development we are building in after listening to customer feedback like yours so watch this space. Thanks again! Ann
