The Ford app is everything you need to elevate your Ford journey — all in one place. Access features like remote start, lock and unlock, vehicle stats, and GPS tracking at no extra cost.

· Connected Services: Activate available trials, purchase plans, or manage services like BlueCruise, the Ford Connectivity Package, and the Ford Security Package.
· GPS Location: Never lose sight of your Ford with GPS tracking.
· Ford App Updates: Updated regularly to give you the latest features and information.

Remote start is hit and miss, more so on my Apple Watch than on the phone app. Location of parked vehicle is often incorrect and will show location of previous stop not where it is now. How about showing some of the trip data, economy, etc..

Ok, but behind other manufacturers.
Their tanks
This is fine for viewing current charge level on my Mach E, or for sending an instruction to lock/open the doors. Beyond that it has no real features. This is a long way behind what other manufacturers offer. The ability to set internal temperature before departure would be great, to open/close the tailgate or frunk would also be useful.Having more details on system updates, and being able to start the update process, which can only be accessed in the car would also bring it in line with the likes of BMW Connected which is far more advanced.Solid, but you expect more nowadays.

Feature loss with upgrade

Overall new design is really good but very disappointing you have removed remote start for trailer light check. As someone who tows regularly this was a killer feature I toldlots of people about. Why remove it? Going to vehicle and navigating to option on the screen seems so backwards when I previously could do it remotely standing next to lights I was checking. Please bring this feature back. It would also be good to be able to adjust climate settings remotely too.

We apologise for the inconvenience; the trailer light check and zone lighting features are currently unavailable on the latest FordPass release. Rest assured the features will be returning and we are working hard to resolve this as quickly as we can.

This app does work with my Mach E, but it is extremely basic in comparison to the Tesla or Hyundai apps. There’s no way to tell at a glance whether your vehicle is locked or unlocked, you just have to send a lock command. No way to set the cabin temperature, turning it on just uses the previous settings used. And no way to open the liftgate or open the front compartment from the app (this one would be really handy). Having these features would start to bring the app functionality app to what other manufacturers are doing.
