StressWatch relies on your RHR (Resting Heart Rate) and HRV (Heart Rate Variability) data retrieved from Apple Health.
We'll analyze and interpret the data to determine your current stress levels. We constantly monitor your status and remind your immediately if your stress levels get too high so you can take action right away to help reduce your stress levels.
#How can StressWatch help you?
- When you work late into the night, StressWatch can remind you that your HRV is low and you're stressed - a gentle reminder to help you understand that it's time to get some rest.
- When you're at a social event and you have to force yourself to smile, we'll remind you that your HRV is low and you're stressed - a gentle reminder to get some fresh air and recharge.
- When you've had just a bit too much to drink, we'll remind you that your HRV is low and you're stressed (because alcohol is a stresssor) - a gentle reminder to let up a bit on the cup, drink some water, and take care of your body.
- You can constantly monitor your HRV levels (and stress levels) from your Apple Watch by adding StressWatch to your Watch Face.
- Paired with proper exercise and adequate rest, monitor and analyze your weekly and monthly stress levels over prolonged periods of time; you'll realize that you're getting better as time goes on.
#Design Concept
We created StressWatch with the sole intention to help people to reduce anxiety in this age of stress and pressure. However, data and numbers do not have any meaning if the user is unable to interpret the data. (Not everyone is a rocket scientist!) So it got us thinking: how can we design a app that delivers numbers and data in a friendly manner that will help users to reduce stress and anxiety. Thus, we created the "Mr.Fizz", which is the foundation of our product design. The "Mr.Fizz" will change colors as the user's stress levels rise.

This has become my favourite and most used app over about 2 years of consistent use. It’s been amazing helping me pace with chronic illness - having the simple watch faces makes it easy to interact with, measurements actually happen consistently - I’ve had no trouble with crashing or glitching and it has an amazing UI. Been really loving a lot of the updates as well. I honestly rave about this app to so many people - using it has become a seamless part of my day through the watch face and I love being able to look at trends easily on the app but still delve into more detailed data when I need to. This has become one of my most important tools with learning to live with ME/CFS and other chronic illnesses - it’s not designed for this specifically but it’s worked really well for me for this purpose to help me recognise what activities were draining me, my current state and to also help gauge recovery from crashes or flares. I’ve used other HRV apps that haven’t been as useful to me, were slow or glitchy or just had more extra features that I didn’t need and I was never able to integrate them into my life like I have with StressWatch. I’m sorry for such a long review - I never leave reviews but I can’t really say enough good things about this app.
Love it

Easy to use and useful for monitoring my stress during the day.
Great idea but gives stress updates when not wearing watch

I like the idea of this app and thought it seemed useful but it keeps telling me about my stress levels when I’m not even wearing my watch so it makes me question the accuracy of the data it’s collecting.
Developer Response
Hi there, thank you for giving StressWatch a try and sharing your feedback—we truly appreciate it. We’re glad you find the concept useful, and we sincerely apologize for the inaccuracy you’ve experienced. You’re absolutely right to question the data when the app registers stress levels without your watch being worn. This is not the intended behavior, and our team is actively investigating the issue. Here’s what might help in the meantime:1️⃣ Quick Fix:* Ensure "Wrist Detection" is enabled in your Apple Watch settings (Settings > Passcode > Wrist Detection)* Force-close and restart the StressWatch app on both your iPhone and Watch2️⃣ For Further Help:* Email us at hi@stresswatch.app with: * Your device/watch model + iOS/watchOS versions * Screenshots/timestamps of incorrect readings* We’ll prioritize diagnosing your case and provide personalized support. Thanks again!
It’s good, but. . . .

I wish A little more options were available for free. I get that it’s a subscription thing though
