State Forest, DOC & Deer Zones
Free · In-App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Where you can hunt in Victoria, NSW, Tasmania, SA, NT & New Zealand.
Know where you can hunt in Australia and New Zealand. HuntScout puts public hunting land, closures and season dates on one map, checked against each state agency, DOC and Fish & Game.
▸ WHERE YOU CAN HUNT • Victoria: public land hunting areas with the rules for each species, areas closed to hunting, and firearm-permission areas • New South Wales: State forests open for hunting, exclusion zones and Crown leases • Tasmania: deer hunting areas and management zones, Sustainable Timber Tasmania public hunting areas, wallaby and duck zones, game reserves • South Australia and Northern Territory: game and hunting reserves • New Zealand: DOC hunting blocks, roar and ballot blocks, conservation land, air access, huts, tracks and campsites
▸ SEASONS AND RULES ON TAP Tap any area to see what's open there now: deer, duck, quail, pig, wallaby, game birds and more, with bag limits, hours and the official source.
▸ NEW ZEALAND GAME BIRDS Duck shooting season dates and bag limits for all 12 Fish & Game regions.
▸ FIREARMS, BALLOTS AND PERMITS Firearm and calibre rules by state, plus the ballots and permits you need: VIC hog deer, TAS deer, NZ roar and tahr, NSW public land.
▸ AI HUNT ASSISTANT "When does duck season open in Victoria?" "Do I need a DOC permit for Kaimanawa?" Answers grounded in the checked season data.
▸ OFFLINE MAPS, WAYPOINTS AND HUNTING PARTIES Download maps for no-signal country, drop waypoints and share spots with your crew.
A polygon on the map is not a permission to hunt. Always check with the land manager.
HuntScout is not a government app. Map data: DEECA Victoria, Forestry Corporation of NSW, Land Tasmania, Sustainable Timber Tasmania, Parks and Wildlife Service Tasmania, CAPAD (Australian Government) and DOC New Zealand.
