Ratings and Reviews
Still can do better, but on the right path.
Been using Apple Mail for years now. Always stuck with it just for the easy integrations with Apple, but it was always tough. However it’s getting better. A few things I still want to see are the following:
- Folder Sorting and positioning in iOS. Still cannot sort the way I’d like. Alphabetical is a bit useless. Good to finally see collapsible folders, that took a long time, but glad it’s sorted finally.
-Attachments to be attachments and not icons in the email body. As per most email providers, attachments are not in the body but attached. I wish there was the option to do this in apple. It makes email threads really messy sometimes.
- Option to setup and send calendar invites through your email address and not iCloud. Or at least let you have the option to choose what email invites are sent from. Makes it useless for business as I can’t send from my work email, only iCloud linked options. Would be nice to have this improved.
-Built in and easier integration for tasks. Be nice to add and view tasks in the platform.
With all that said, I’m only here to help improve the platform. I love it but want to see it move to a 5 star product. It’s not there yet. But keep pushing for it!
Iphone7 / Gmail Jun 22
Doesnt seem like Gmail supports this app anymore.
Without changing any settings it has suddenly stopped working, and the only reason i can find is that google is not supporting “less secure apps” as of 30 May 22.
I cant be bothered with this app or trying to find a solution to make it connect. Thumbs down gmail and iphone.
Has become unuseable
The mail app used to be fine, and I like it for collating several email accounts. However, it’s become so slow to download anything that its totally unusable. Now it takes several minutes to download and display an email that’s only one sentence.
I have to use other email apps and Safari for now cause I don’t have hours each day waiting for this app to load emails. Please fix whatever is making this app so slow.
