Description
MyAra is Ara Institute of Canterbury’s student app, providing quick and easy access to everything you need to make the most of your Ara experience.
The app works seamlessly with the MyAra website, providing the same tiles and information.
The app requires you to have a current Ara student login.
Features include:
• The ability to personalise your dashboard by moving, hiding and changing the colours of tiles
• Easy access to your student email
• Quick access to your Moodle course material
• Easily check your student timetable
• Quickly check your attendance record
• Keep up to date with campus events
• Search library resources and keep track of what books you have on loan
• A large knowledge base of content to help you while studying at Ara

Not great.
Have to log in every time I close the app, multiple times a day.
Even though I have it downloaded, Panopto stops me from accessing my other coursework tiles as it’s constantly alerting me to enable pop up which I have done already. Even then, no tiles ever load which stops me from accessing and doing my assignment work. I’ve tried contacting IT but still no response. This app is not user friendly at all -
Please listen to us students and fix this app!!

Shocking to start
Every single time I open the app, it won’t load. Sometimes a message pops up saying the app needs to be restarted, other times it’s just a blank white screen. Restarting the app will allow it to work, but then it takes a long time to load. This has been happening for the past 2, possibly 3 years, and I can’t believe it hasn’t been fixed yet.
I’s usually okay once it’s running, but it’s still slow to function
