Good aspects to it but the WORST Manual

Setting aside all the typos, the instruction manula is just about the most unhelpful document and trying to undertand how records and tables interrelate is just maddening.A potentially good product ruined by lousy support material.
good app but not for ipad

the app is easy to use and excellent; but hard to type with an external keyboard. if the external keyboard is connected, a big white space takes 2/3 of the screen (where the screen keyboard is supposed to be) and is not reactive. you can minimize the keyboard space but then it will pop up every time you change the fields for typing; no zoom-in view is allowed so you have to have good eyesights to use it on an ipad; no drawing function with an apple pencil is allowed.
Powerful database, poor documentation

The app is easy to use but the manual is out of date and very sparse. The programing editor has a visual and a text mode. The visual mode is incomplete and the text mode requires you to know the language, hard to use for a new user as the manual is about the worst I have seen (I have been programing for over 20 years). The text editor error messages don't really help either.There are some good training vidoes on youtube. A USA firm provides training and support for a fee. They also offer a better manual, but Ninox should provide a proper manual themselves. Very frustrating.
Finally Bento can be replaced

Ever since FileMaker killed off Bento I’ve been looking for an app that did what Bento did with the same ease of use.I had been using TapForms but lately it’s been a nightmare of an app especially with the beta testing of El Capitan I’ve been doing. TapForms basically became useless as it wouldn’t even load unless you deleted the preferences then it would only load long enough to basically lock up again. Rinse and repeat.So I did some research and came across Ninox and I tried to find a demo version but basically couldn’t. The website was in German and my German is pretty… well non-existent to say the least but I decided to take a punt and purchase the app anyway. $35NZ isn’t too bad so I went for it and frankly I’m still stoked that I found this app.I have been able to setup a database that does exactly what I need in a very short time frame which is all one can ask for frankly.There are a couple of really neat features such as viewing according to time in a calendar so you can see records added on a particular day, you can create simple reports very quickly, and it automatically creates a sheet with the ability to add files to records.The only thing I would really like to see is a phone number field as opposed to using a text field. Other than that the field types are amazing especially the relational fields and the calculation fields. With the calculation fields I’m impressed. We’re talking FileMaker Pro level of calculations here which is phenominal.Add to all of this iCloud synching just seems to work flawlessly.Goodbye TapForms hello Ninox.

- Sync issue with big databases - waitForSync() failing : We fixed an issue where the sync of a database could fail in case the database is still or has been password protected. This fix requires Server v3.18.25 to work on app side.
