Always been satisfied
Every ride to places using Ola has been good drivers have always been wearing facial masks when they were meant to be during level 2 and level 2 during COVID. I did book a Ola once but got good communication a text with the driver a text saying they had stopped to get gas in their car. Recently I needed an Ola at 4am one arrived in 5mins. I did catch Uber but I had some extremely bad experiences with them from male drivers asking very personal questions that were not answered . I get coupons all the time saved $5 on to two rides recently that’s not the first time. I would recommend them 👍👍
AVOID AT ALL COSTS! RIP OFF DONT BE FOOLED
They. Insistently add charges on for absolutely nothing and provide ZERO support. They’ve charged me a $10 cancellation fee for a $12 taxi ride that I actually got and get on time. I’ve order a cab and been in it and had another cab call to ask where the hell I am when the cab I’m in has the same number plate and knows my name and destination... then got a cancellation fee - even though I only ordered once - no cancellations whatsoever. They’re sneaky as hell. Also they say it’s half price but they just originally charge twice as much as all other apps so even when half price it’s actually the same as would be with other car apps.
Plus they change the base fare without warning - unlike other apps which at least tell you if there’s a higher fare If busier - these guys quite you thing then charge you twice or sometime even three times as much.
Customer service is non existent. You challenge them and they just don’t even give you an option to type a message, you follow the prompts and get a generic ‘tough luck’ message.
Every couple of weeks they charge you 4 TIMES the normal rate for exact journey and refuse to review the pricing, with no warning of W higher fare like other apps do. Absolute rip offs don’t bother even for the month half price
A lot of false claims. Be warned.
Seems Ola lie about things. They claim that they have lots of drivers and are only a 1 or 2 minutes away from you. In reality, they are often no drivers in my area of Pt Chevalier, Auckland, or they are much longer than 2 mins away. Then they lie about their fair. Often, it costs more than they estimate at the time of booking. God forbid if you have a dispute. There is no direct contact method to talk to or email anyone. The online help is rubbish and there is no way of know whether they have received your message or when they might respond. I am very suspicious of the high start rating here. A majority of the feedback is negative so makes no it sense! Check their Facebook page or other forums online to see how dodgy their operation is. My own feedback is not from just one or two rides but about a dozen over a few years. Drivers are all great and they do a great job but the app and the company seem very dodgy. Be warned.
