Paperpile itself is great, app is very buggy
Paperpile itself is great, but the ipad/iphone app is very buggy. Fails to sync properly, frequently crashes. Haven’t really got it to work properly at all.
App version is a naff
I have used the desk top version with little trouble, it’s been an essential asset to writing my university assignments. This version is counter intuitive, buggy, never syncs, and crashed more times than it doesn’t. It is completely unreliable. It’s much more complicated a proposition to use now. Can’t decide whether to switch to a more reliable app in the Apple eco system or endure the hassle of having to search and upload papers on a different device.

Sorry for the trouble. At this time we are not aware of any critical bugs that would cause a behavior you describe. It could be that something weird is going on with your library, e.g. a broken PDF which we have not seen yet. Happy to look into it for you. We are at support@paperpile.com
