PCalc is the powerful choice for scientists, engineers, students, programmers, or indeed anybody looking for a feature rich calculator. It includes an optional RPN mode and multi-line display, a choice of button layouts, an extensive set of unit conversions and constants, a paper tape, multiple undo and redo, engineering and scientific notation, as well as support for hexadecimal, octal, and binary calculations.
Includes an Apple Watch app, so you can calculate on your wrist!
Updated all scientific constants to the latest CODATA 2018 values, and now includes the full list.
Improved accuracy of stored numbers when PCalc isn't running, and for copying and pasting.
Improved the UI for using multiple memories in the watch app and widget.
You can now specify the setting for using multiple memories separately for the watch app and widget.
No longer show the "M" indicator when other memories have contents, but "Use Multiple Memories" is off.
Added new line display types that show a running total for the current calculation, the "Last X" value, and all the memories.
Added an option for displaying all function variables in the registers section.
Fixed a problem searching for functions, conversions, and constants.

A stellar example of design and programming
Since I purchased PCalc in July 2009 it has been my "go to" calculator - the one I use pretty much every day, whether it be for simple arithmetic, conversions, or trig. It's not as though I lack other physical and iOS calculators - I have many - but PCalc is simply the best looking and best to use. If you don't like something, there's a high chance you can "fix it" by changing one of the many settings. Most probably after first installing PCalc you will try all the keypads and display-fonts, and select your favourite, and that will be it. Over time you will find that PCalc is also an advanced calculator that meets pretty much anyone's needs with programmable functions and user-defined constants. The only times I use other calculators are where I have a special need, e.g. for an HP calculator-emmulator, time/date calculations, or building calculations.
The majority of iOS calculators are infrequently updated. PCalc gets regular updates which are always well thought-out. Details of any changes are immediately available within the application, along with usage notes. Just tap the Help button. I wish all developers would do this.
PCalc looks stunning on both iPhone and (especially) iPad. Most universal calculators are simply bigger on an iPad, but PCalc is optimised for each device. Apple and Microsoft are fond of the word "gorgeous". I'm sure you'll agree that PCalc is gorgeous-worthy. Everyone should buy PCalc.
The perfect calculator?
A refined and polished app which fulfills all the basic calculator functions and also does conversions, RPN, hex, displays number as ASCII/UTF-8, and much more. Themes, customisable, one purchase for iPhone and iPad, active forums, long-time developer, prompt developer response; even a developer’s blog—what’s not to like?!
Best calculator yet, shame about the ugly icon.
PCalc is the best calculator you can buy for iPad/iPhone. One of my favorite features is being able to instantly email a copy of the transaction tape. The themes are first class and the app looks and feels superb.
On the downside, the "42" app icon is just ugly enough to keep PCalc off my home screen. Please change the icon... it tarnishes the app. The splash screen is another annoyance that delays startup just long enough to be painful when you're in a hurry. Worse still, the splash screen is a giant version of the same ugly icon.
