The application has arbitrarily suspended or restricted user accounts without providing any clear reason, notice, or due process. Users are subsequently compelled to submit highly sensitive personal data, including video recordings of themselves holding their passports, as a condition for account restoration.Such practices constitute a serious intrusion into personal privacy and raise substantial concerns regarding unlawful or excessive collection of personal data, lack of informed consent, and misuse of identity information. In effect, this amounts to coercive identity verification imposed on users without transparency, proportionality, or legal justification. Moreover, despite being an application downloaded and used outside of mainland China and purportedly hosted on overseas servers, there are reasonable concerns that collected personal data may be transferred, shared, or made accessible to governmental authorities without users’ explicit consent or adequate legal safeguards.Apple Inc., as the platform operator and distributor of this application through the App Store, has a duty of care to ensure that applications comply with fundamental privacy rights, data-protection principles, and applicable laws. Apple’s continued distribution of, and failure to intervene in, such practices may constitute complicity in violations of users’ privacy rights and fundamental human rights. These actions appear inconsistent with internationally recognized principles of data protection, including transparency, necessity, proportionality, and purpose limitation, and warrant immediate investigation and remedial action by the relevant regulatory and oversight authorities.
