Description

Advanced upper limb prosthetic hands allow users to control the device using forearm muscles. Prosthetic professionals need to design a prosthetic socket with myoelectric electrodes that capture the best signal—meaning the patient can easily contract the muscle, and this activity is detected by the electrode. In addition to optimal electrode placement, signal amplification must be set to ensure the signal is well observed within a defined scale.

However, even the best electrode placement won't ensure long-term functionality of the robotic hand unless the patient exercises their forearm muscles and feels comfortable with various contraction and relaxation sets.

The MyoRocket device and app offer a modern solution for professionals and their patients to address these challenges. Real-time signals can be observed and adjusted as needed through electrode placement and signal amplification. Patients can enhance their prosthesis control by playing games designed to train and develop their forearm muscles.

The MyoRocket system supports remote training, with sessions that can be streamed in real-time and recorded for clinician examination. Patients can now train their muscles at home under professional supervision.
