With split routes you can:
- Split large Gpx files to use them with navigation devices that have limited storage space or memory (for example click "Share" on the split file in Files, and open it in Garmin connect, then simply sync with your device! No computer or internet needed).
- Create realistic day-by-day itineraries
- Toggle position tracking to see exactly where you are on your route
- Easily split the split segments even further (useful for tough sections (like hiking up a mountain))

Share or open a .gpx file from Files, Mail, AirDrop, or any other app, and it now opens straight into Split GPX.
- Safer route switching
The app now asks for confirmation before replacing a route you already have loaded — whether you're picking a new file or opening one from another app.
- New Clear button
Quickly remove the currently loaded route with one tap (confirmation included, so it's hard to do by accident).
- More complete exports
Exported segments now keep the original track's name and any extra per-point data from the source file (like heart rate, power or cadence extensions), not just coordinates/elevation/time.
