Thank you for being here at the start. We hope you love using encore. Building a list is clearer: name it, then add your own, let encore suggest titles, or start from a screenshot, a video, a link or a list you type. Lists that mix films, TV and books, and titles in other languages, now come through. Share a list in rows, one series to a row, with every option behind a single Options button.

A list someone shares, on Instagram or anywhere else, now opens straight onto that list: tap Open in encore on the page and the app takes you there. Lists from friends and public accounts open to read, with one tap to add the lot to your own. And the buttons on a list are trimmed to their words, so the posters and titles lead.

Choose your app icon: Settings → App icon offers the encore book in every one of the colour schemes, from Clay to Midnight, or the walnut original. Every theatre record now tells you about the show, who wrote it, where to see it, the cast recording, and a Discover section with the book it came from, the film of it, and its people. Books carry the publisher's words and the author. Tapping a tab always takes you back to its first page. Faster searches across the board.

encore on your Home Screen: a widget with the mark and a plus that opens straight onto Add, in paper, clay, dark or your own colour scheme — and a button for Control Centre. Book searches come back in a second. Hold any poster for a quick rating, a line of review, the watchlist and your lists. A film shows the book it came from. Your top four can stand as DVDs, Blu-rays or VHS.

Rating feels like something now: the stars press down under your finger and tick as you slide. Bring your television from Trakt or TV Time, and your music from Spotify, Apple Music or Discogs. Two new colours, Navy and Midnight. And if you love it, encore will ask you once to say so on the App Store.

Rating something now happens on one screen: the poster, your stars and your thoughts together in one place. Watchlist and Rewatch are proper buttons, and Watchlist steps aside once you have given a rating. Share wears your colour scheme, and the card you share carries the encore mark on the poster. Search is quicker and lands on what you meant. Home loads in about a second. Saving a card to your photos now always tells you what happened.

A big tidy-up. Records are easier to read: the title leads, the poster sits alongside the certificate, running time and director, and a spoiler-free summary opens if you want it. IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes and Metascore ratings now sit beside the encore score. One category control at the top left sets the whole app at once — home, your library, lists and what your friends have been up to. Bring a library with you: import from Letterboxd or Goodreads, with your ratings, reviews, rating history, watchlist and your own lists. Also: block and report on any review, posters kept for offline, and a keyboard that gets out of the way.

A big tidy-up from your feedback. - Search everything in your library from one field - Genres you can mix and match, no more false dropdowns - Awards lists now show your stars, a rewatch button and the encore score — with eleven more Academy Award categories - Set a films target for 2026 alongside your books target - Records put your rating, your thoughts and your lists first - Book covers repair themselves when a catalogue lets us down - Dozens of smaller refinements throughout
