MapSwap for Safari

One tap opens any map app.

Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Tap any address in Safari to open it in your favorite map app. Works on every website. Free, private, no signup. Apple Maps, Google Maps, or Waze supported. Tap any address on the web — it opens in your map app. That's it. MapSwap is a free Safari extension that quietly scans the webpages you visit, finds street addresses, and turns them into one-tap links to Apple Maps, Google Maps, or Waze. No more copy-pasting, no more squinting at a Google Maps embed, no more wishing you could just tap. How it works Install MapSwap, enable the Safari extension, and pick your favorite map app. From then on, any address you encounter on the web — a friend's restaurant recommendation, a Yelp page, a Facebook business listing, a craigslist ad, a real estate listing — is automatically highlighted in blue. Tap it. Your map app opens. Done. Smart features built in • Universal address detection — works on any website, in any country format (US, Canada, UK, Australia, parts of Europe). MapSwap recognizes streets, avenues, boulevards, highways, county roads, and more. • Google Maps integration — visiting Google Maps in Safari? A small "Open in Apple Maps" button appears at the bottom so you can hand the destination off to your preferred map app with a single tap. • Google Search businesses — when Google shows you a restaurant or business panel, MapSwap surfaces an "Open in your map app" link right next to the address. • Share to MapSwap — share any address from any app (Mail, Messages, Notes, Safari) and have it open in your preferred maps app. Great for forwarded invitations and AirBnB confirmations. • Select & search — highlight any text in Safari, tap the MapSwap toolbar icon, and search it as a map query. Perfect for partial addresses or "Joe's Pizza, Brooklyn." • Per-page button — sometimes the floating button is in the way. Tap × to dismiss it for that specific place. Privacy you can trust MapSwap does zero data collection. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is logged, nothing leaves your device. The extension scans page text locally in Safari to find addresses, and the only thing that ever leaves is the URL handoff to your selected map app — same as if you'd typed the address yourself. We don't see what websites you visit. We don't have a server. Free forever, with optional tips MapSwap is and always will be free with no ads, no upsells, and no premium features locked behind a paywall. If it saves you taps and you'd like to support its development, there's a small tip jar in the app — pick whatever feels right. Compatible with iOS 17+, iPadOS 17+. Optimized for iPhone and iPad.
