The world of the paranormal is as expansive as it is interesting. Tales of cryptids, aliens, ghosts, and the unknown can be found at every corner of the internet, and at some point, the sheer amount of information that's available makes coming to reliable conclusions even harder than you'd expect.
ParaSight is an app that attempts to remedy this problem by structuring the available data in a way that makes it easier to digest. Browse our growing database of paranormal, supernatural, and bizarre entities and learn what makes them interesting.

Report your Sightings
The primary focus of the ParaSight app is to allow you to share your paranormal encounters with other users. Our reporting screen allows you to add a bunch of information that others might find useful:
• A text description of what happened (use hashtags and URLs to make your reporting more robust)
• The date the sighting occurred
• Optional start and end times of the encounter
• The location where the entity was seen
• An adjustable radius for general location sightings
• (NEW) Up to 5 images taken during the encounter
All sightings appear on the world map where others can read about your experience.
Get Notified
Opt-in to receive real-time notifications whenever a new entity is added to the database or a new sighting is reported.
You'll also be notified anytime another user:
• Votes on your posts
• Scores one of your sightings
• Comments on a sighting or a post you created
Buid Your Credibility
Grow your renown in the ParaSight community by bringing valuable content to the table. Every time other users find your content interesting, you'll gain "Cred" which can be tracked in your anonymous profile.
In your profile you can:
• Update your profile picture
• Change your username
• View all of your previous "Cred" awards
Coming Soon
We will be adding ways to vote on the credibility of sightings. Concepts like crowd support, media reports, and similar sightings will be used to adjust sighting credibility scores. This will let us highlight especially convincing encounters and generate "hot spots" on the map.
