Mini Team Play Format Play squads of four across four courts: 4, 5 or 6 squads, each with set women's, men's and two mixed pairings — any mix of players works. The app builds the schedule, decides each matchup by games won and then points, and runs the playoffs: semi-finals, then the gold and bronze finals side by side. Arrange rounds your way Add a random round or set one up by hand, even before earlier rounds finish. On fixed-partner nights, choose the medal matchups yourself if you like, and see team standings, the bracket and the podium on the Standings tab. Copy a session Run last week again in a couple of taps: same courts, format and settings on the next matching day, with or without the same players. How you play Your record now shows how you do against stronger, even and weaker opposition, your recent form, how you do in each format, and your record in close games. Fairer ratings From October 1 the rating's expected-score curve is refined, so a favourite who wins comfortably gets proper credit. Results already recorded don't change. New players now choose their starting level themselves. Medal rounds Fixed-partner nights can now finish properly. Set the semi-finals from the night's standings, then the finals — gold between the two winners, bronze between the two who lost. Seeded from the games actually played. Fairer gender-balanced games The gender format now evens up team ratings as well as keeping the matchups right, so fewer one-sided courts on nights with an uneven mix. Better ratings early on Your first few nights no longer swing your rating as sharply, and one bad session can't drop you to the bottom of the scale. Ratings already recorded are unchanged. Latecomers Organisers can add someone who turns up after the matchups are built. They go straight in, and the session grows to fit.
