Smart GreenScreen is a cross‑platform Chroma Key app with tracking markers for professional VFX and film production. It replaces a chosen background color (e.g. green) with another color and can show markers for camera tracking. It runs on macOS (window and fullscreen) and iOS (fullscreen) and is aimed at video production, livestreaming, video conferencing, and camera tracking with greenscreen backgrounds.
Core Features
Greenscreen / Chroma Key
• Replaces a background color (e.g. green) with another color.
• Adjustable RGB and brightness for background and markers.
• 25 color presets for quick selection.
• “Slider for marker” toggle: sliders control either background or marker color.
• Tab key toggles greenscreen on/off (black when off).
• Overlay image with alpha support: load a PNG with transparency to composite over the keyed background.
Tracking Markers
• Four marker types:
1 Cross – simple crosshair
1 Triangle – target symbol with triangle, circles, and plus
1 Checkerboard – circle with four quadrants
1 Circle+Cross – circle with cross in the center
• Up to 12 markers at once.
• Adjustable size (3–25% of screen).
• Stroke width for cross-style markers (2–12).
• Invert colors for better visibility.
• Add, move, and delete markers. Move and Delete modes show a hand icon and red X respectively so you can see which mode is active.
• Default marker color is black (0,0,0) on first launch so markers stay visible on a green background.
Keyboard (iOS)
• Optional on-screen keyboard for blind typing on the greenscreen.
• “Show keyboard” and “On marker tap only”: keyboard appears when you tap a marker and hides with Enter.
• Tab: toggle greenscreen on/off (same as on macOS when using an external keyboard).
• Word suggestions and autocorrection above the keyboard can be disabled for a clean typing view.
Opening the Menu
• macOS: Shift+Click or ⌘M. Window title bar (traffic lights) can auto-hide when the pointer leaves the window and reappear on hover, so the greenscreen window stays clean over a video or other content.
• iOS: 3‑finger tap (always available), or configurable multi-tap (3–10 taps). “Open menu with multi-tap” can be turned on or off; 3‑finger tap still works when multi-tap is off. Alternatively, 6‑second long press.
Settings
• Settings are saved automatically.
• Reset restores all values to defaults.
• Collapsible sections (Colors, Marker, Keyboard setup, Presets) and consistent layout with icons for sliders and actions.
• Overlay image: icon-only Load and Remove buttons for a compact bar.

• Settings stored as JSON in Application Support.
• macOS: optional auto-hiding title bar; supports window and fullscreen.

Markers
• Move mode shows a small hand icon next to each marker so you can see when it’s still active.
• Marker type picker is placed below the toggle for clearer layout and easier selection.
Menu Access
• „Open menu with multi-tap“ can be turned on or off.
• Choose how many taps (3–10) are needed to open the menu.
• 3-finger tap remains available even when multi-tap is turned off.
User Guide
• New „Keyboard control“ section with all shortcuts.
• Improved layout with clearer sections.
• More readable structure with better spacing.
