The page itself stays free of controls; a tap brings them back. • Page numbers for the whole book, as in a printed edition, in page and scroll mode alike. Under Appearance you choose whether your progress shows as page numbers, a percentage, or page dots. • Sections and links: Contents now list the sections of each chapter, even in books that put everything into a single file. Links inside the book, such as footnotes and cross-references, take you straight to where they point. • Scroll bar in scroll mode: a bar on the right edge shows how much of the chapter is on screen — drag it to move quickly through the chapter. • Search works fully in scroll mode, and the search arrows carry on into the next or previous chapter in both modes. • The reader's menus take on the colours of your reading theme. Improvements & Bug Fixes • Changing the text size, font, or line spacing keeps you at the same passage instead of shifting the text. • The text size buttons keep working after you rotate your device. • Books with a subtitle or several authors now show the correct title and author names. • Library covers stay aligned when a title wraps onto two lines. • Text in subtitles and date lines of some books now gets the usual side margins. • Help and tips are up to date.

Improvements & Bug Fixes • Deleting a book now asks for confirmation first — with iCloud sync turned on, a deleted book disappears from all your devices. • In scroll mode the text now has the same line length as in page mode. On iPad it was noticeably narrower before. • Fixed books with very long chapters (common in Project Gutenberg downloads) where most pages could not be reached and the page count was wrong. • Books that list their table of contents as a chapter no longer open with an empty page.
