Byelergy is an AI based mobile application which provides pollen count/index and the Air Quality Index to the patient/user and offers a provision for self-assessment of nasal and ocular symptoms score in Allergic Rhinitis while maintaining a record of these scores. It also provides some measures to prevent triggering factors of allergy.
Patient/user can select the location and type of allergy (dust/pollen/mold) for which they wish to see the allergy index. Byelergy app gives a count of grass pollen, tree pollen and weed pollen in the respective selected location. This can alert an individual to take appropriate decisions considering the pollen and Air quality index. Further to this, the health advice section in Byelergy app offers various tips to counter trigger factors of allergy. Also, one of the key sections of the Byelergy app is the patient diary. This diary has a provision for self-assessment using the VAS (Visual Analogue Score) symptom score scale used for allergic rhinitis. The VAS scale is a qualitative self-assessment of an individual basis the symptom severity of nasal and ocular symptoms. The patients can take their self-assessment and rate themselves on a scale of 0-10 (where 0 is not troublesome and 10 is very troublesome). Gradually there would be a weekly trend of the VAS score of nasal and ocular symptoms maintained in the patient diary section of Byelergy. The user/patient can further discuss their VAS score recorded in the patient diary with their Physicians. This should help the user/patient to take appropriate measures and stay healthy.
