FINALLY!
I’ve been waiting for Disney+ to launch in the Philippines since it debuted and now it’s finally here and I can watch originals I’ve been dying to binge. However, the app could definitely use a number of improvements 1. Continue Watching - There are times I want to switch from my laptop to my iPhone to finish an episode but when I do it doesn’t resume on where I paused it. It restarts the episode from the beginning. 2. Picture In Picture - Unlike Netflix I’m unable to continue watching when I exit the app. I’ve checked my settings and it’s all good so it has to be the app 3. Share feature - I’ve always loved sharing what I watch in my IG stories so if this feature can be added (similar to Netflix) 4. Jumbled episodes - I’m watching Rookie Cops and Episode 8 came in first prior to Episode 7 🙄
Complaint Regarding Disney Plus Error Messages on TV and Iphone
Dear Disney Plus Support Team, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to bring to your attention an ongoing issue I am experiencing with the Disney Plus app on both my TV and iPhone. For the past 5 days, whenever I attempt to access the Disney Plus app on my TCL, Sony TV, or iPhone XS Max and iPhone 12, I encounter an error message that says, "Connection Error, Looks like you're connecting through VPN, proxy or 'unblocker' service. Please turn off any of these services and try again". We are not using any VPN, Proxy, or unblocker services. Despite several attempts to troubleshoot the issue, including such as restarting the devices or reinstalling the app, the problem persists. As a paying subscriber to Disney Plus, I am disappointed by the inconvenience this has caused. I rely on your service to enjoy a variety of content, and this issue has prevented me from doing so. I kindly request that your technical team investigate this matter urgently and provide a resolution at your earliest convenience. Please let me know if you require any further information from me to assist with resolving this issue. I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and look forward to hearing back from you soon. Please see the attached file for the screenshot and photos. I sent an email regarding this matter. Great for many movie selections, not so good interface
I got to experience both Disney US and PH (asia) BOTH on my iPhone and Samsung TV as I knew how to change TV region with VPN connection with a sister in the US. Disney US indicates both video and audio quality (example: IMAX Enhanced, HDR, 5.1ch) whereas Disney Asia allows you to change video quality "manually". US version allows you to change subtitle style settings which I like, Asia/PH version subtitle can only be turned off and on.
Both have different nice features, but I wish Disney PH (Asia) somehow imitated Disney US design nicely indicating on movie poster right away if a specific (Marvel movie for example) is IMAX Enhanced. You won't see that on PH/asia version. I hope you allow as well to let the users change subtitle settings according to desired font.
But anyway, overall, when it comes to the movie content, it was all great! I hope you consider my feedback and request to improve your app. Nevertheless, I would still continue to pay for Disney PH/Asia.
