Doomwatch: Your Certificate and Domain Apocalypse Early Warning System
Meet Doomwatch - your companion in the eternal struggle against expired certificates and forgotten domain renewals. It's seen things. Terrible things. Like that time legacy-system.company.com went down at 3 AM because nobody remembered the cert expired. Doomwatch remembers. Doomwatch always remembers.
Doomwatch is the app for IT professionals who've learned the hard way that certificates expire, domains lapse, and management will absolutely ask "why didn't we know about this?" while you're frantically Googling renewal procedures at midnight.
What Doomwatch Does (So You Don't Have To):
• Monitors SSL/TLS certificates before they expire and take your infrastructure with them
• Tracks domain registration expirations because apparently nobody puts these in a calendar
• Sends daily notifications that aggregate all your impending doom into one convenient panic attack
• Runs background checks at 8 AM so you can find out your day is ruined before you've finished your coffee
• Provides Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets for maximum situational awareness and minimum peace of mind
Features That Acknowledge Your Pain:
- Certificate Verification: Connects to your servers, inspects their certificates, and judges them for expiring. Color-coded from "you're fine" green to "start drafting the incident report" red.
- Domain Expiration Tracking: Uses modern RDAP protocol to check when your domains expire. Because WHOIS is as deprecated as that server you keep meaning to decommission.
- Smart Notifications: One aggregated daily notification listing everything that's about to expire. Doomwatch respects your notification hygiene, even if the universe doesn't respect your uptime SLAs.
- Widgets Everywhere: Small, medium, large, circular, rectangular, inline—Doomwatch will display your infrastructure anxieties on every available surface of your iPhone.
- Grouping & Sorting: Organize servers by domain, sort by urgency, collapse cards when you can't bear to look. Doomwatch understands avoidance coping mechanisms.
- Import/Export: Bulk import servers via CSV because nobody has time to type 47 hostnames manually. Export when you change jobs and need to hand this problem to the next person.
What Doomwatch Wants You to Know:
Doomwatch isn't here to judge. Well, actually it is—he's literally a skeleton holding a warning sign—but he's judging the certificates, not you. When everything is valid, he shows a green checkmark. When things are expiring, he displays the count with the enthusiasm of someone who's seen empires fall over forgotten cron jobs.
Download Doomwatch: Because ignorance isn't bliss, it's a P1 incident at 2 AM.
Available now. Existential dread included. Stable infrastructure not guaranteed but at least you'll see it coming.
