Privacy
We know the things that you type on your phone are personal, so we’ve designed Gboard to keep your private information private.
What Gboard sends to Google:
• Gboard sends your searches to Google’s web servers to give you search results.
• Gboard also sends usage statistics to Google to let us know which features are used most often and to help us understand problems if the app crashes.
• If you use Gboard’s microphone, voice input will be sent to Google for transcription.
What Gboard doesn’t send to Google:
• Other than your searches and voice inputs, Gboard doesn't send anything you type to Google, whether it’s a password or chat with a friend.
• To help you with spelling and to predict searches you might be interested in, Gboard will store the words you type on your device. This data is not accessible by Google or by any apps, and can be cleared at any time.
• If you’ve turned on contacts search in Gboard search settings, this allows Gboard to search the contacts on your device so that you can easily share. None of these queries is sent to Google.

Gboard is the best. Although the competitor keyboard is more accurate in word prediction, Gboard's cursor control implementation is the best so far and it's a very significant criteria for me.
My request is to add the Tagalog language. There are plenty of users in the Philippines who will benefit from this. My only gripe is that the learned words are not saved in the cloud. So whenever I change my device or reset my device, I lose all of the learned words, mostly from my own dialect.
Why can't you learn my usual texting practices???
It's so disappointing that this keyboard is not learning at all. It kept on autocorrecting the words I normally use in my language, when in fact I've already used the words a thousand times! It's so frustrating to always send incorrect messages when I'm in a hurry. The default iPhone keyboard is so much better with adapting the natural language. 🙄 Another pain point is the fact that I need to manually select French if I switch languages, whereas in Apple, my phone automatically suggests words either in French or English so I don't have to deliberately change the keyboard language. The only thing I appreciate about this Gboard is the feature to search for emojis.
Very very close to perfect
I've been using gboard for 3 years now, but a feature i really really want is google account synchronization. This would hopefully have my keyboard data stored from all of my devices, which will be super useful for people like me who text in multiple languages and uses slang a lot, as well as swipe texting. Hope to see this soon.
