Best tactics game in a while!

Just finished Act 1 and love the game so far! The maps can get a bit repetitive but really love the mechanics and how free to play friendly it is (please continue doing so!). Can’t wait to progress further and see future game developments.

The updates with the dungeons is what was hard for me to swallow at first since it forced me to develop other untis aside from my mains but am slowly adapting to it.What I currently find tedious is the difficulty in securing materials to develop the “town facilities” because before we could just do missions and hope the RNG gods make the necessary material drop, now we can only farm such materials in a dungeon (which is not inherently bad) but if you miss the days when the dungeon is open because you were busy then you need to wait longer. This may be no big deal for earlier players but this might make newer players progress slower.Wish list: Bigger map to actually utilize some abilities (like the Brigand skill that requires to be far away from any ally). New characters perhaps? To add more variety to tactics rather than just following a META.Elevation and jumping is a nice mechanic especially if there are mobility differences in character/hero units. Makes me miss old school SRPGs.Terrain effects (burning tiles, water, ice, etc) that may cause damage, hinder movement, etc. might improve challenges for more experienced players.The ability to rename the units might be nice. I have to Sorcerers of the same name so kinda awkward to use them in the same team (perhaps that’s just the OCD talking).

Bad changes in the latest update:- Changed flip summon cost from 6 scrolls to 15 scrolls- Daily summon scrolls that usually appear in the daily deals shop don’t show up daily anymore- Dungeons have unnecessary restrictions based on level nowNo changes to subclass progression- you still need more copies of the same blue tier hero or above to progress. With 3 subclass trees per hero, 3 skills per tier level and 16 levels per tree- you can get an idea how many copies of each hero you need to get to reach max. There’s a massive power spike of 200% and above bonus damage or other effects after reaching the highest upgrades so progressing this seems necessary for later content. Devs hid the system well, the progression system only appearing after a hero reaches level 20. Even the flip summon while showing the faction still grants random rewards and the devs massively increased the draw cost.My first impression of the game was that it was amazing but I’ve lost interest after seeing the actual progression mechanics and monetization choices as being a massive turnoff. The game is indeed playable, but the disparity between what a free player and a pay2win can do is just insane.
