The Journaling App that I have been waiting for...

First, I would like to say that I have been using Day One App for my journaling since 2014. This is my way of practicing my english composition and vocabulary.If you’re going to ask why journey app? Since DAY ONE is currently charging monthly subscription, I had to find a new journal app that is alternative to DAY ONE and I found an article about “The Best Journaling App for 2018”.I chose this app for the following reasons:1. Cross-Platform. meaning it’s available to every device that I have (PC, iPad and iPhone)2. No Monthly Subscription. I don’t need to pay monthly just to write my daily journal. There is a one-time payment for upgrading premium though but it’s not that expensive.3. User Interface. In my opinion, I like the design of this app because of it’s simplicity. You can focus on the content of your writing rather than on how to make it look beautiful. (Bold, Italic, Italic)4. Google Drive. It will automatically sync to every device you have through Google drive. I can start writing on my phone and then edit it on my ipad/pc later.Definitely recommended to all user who just wants to log their everyday life and not minding about monthly payment.

My ride or die journaling app

I’ve been using this app for more than 2 years now, and I really love it! I recommend it to all my friends, and even my family doesn´t think it odd (anymore) when i randomly say “lets take a pic for my diary!!!¨hahahahbut anyway, ever since I updated the app to the latest version (as of june 23, 2021) there are still some problems:Entering passcode is not so smooth as it used to. Sometimes the 4 pin circles don’t even light up when you type your pin, and its laggy when it open up the journal. 1 second you’re in the Pin passcode page, next thing you know it’s suddenly in the main journal page. It’s too abrupt, and the transition is gone.Sometimes, clicking the “Back” button to open that sidebar lags as well. Sometimes there’s a transition, and sometimes there isn’t. There also isn’t a transition when i’m in the “Calendar” , and I click “Journey”. It hangs a bit until it finally loads the Journey page. There were a few times where it also hangs when I add a new journal entry! And also when I add photos to the entry. I click photos (gallery type) and it hangs, it doesn’t show in the entry so i assume it didnt take… I then add them again, only to find that i uploaded doubles hahaha These small problems really made me realize how smooth everything was before. and i miss it. Hope you get to smoothen this out in time!

Though when i first used the app, it was free, I’m still happy with it nonetheless. I stopped using it for a very long while. Then when i recently recalled that I used this, I downloaded it again, logged in using my email i used the most and the longest. To my surprise, my old entries are still there. Intact. I am quite very happy reading my old entries. I find them very hilarious and cringy. Hahaha. But I treasure them very much. My entries dates back 2017. Try it. You might find it very useful someday when you want too look back at old bygone memories.

Drained too much battery while writing

I was ready to purchase the app today until I notice my phone gets hot. My phone is not too old it’s iPhone XR and so I checked the Battery app and noticed that the app consumed a lot of battery, Flipboard app is already battery extensive for me but flipboard was opened for 14 minutes and only resulted for 5% in Battery statistics but Journey it was opened for 45 minutes and 5 minutes background and it resulted to 42% which is a lot. I can send screenshot if you want.I disabled the WiFi synchronized and disabled it in background refresh but still the same. I used other apps and the heat at the back of my phone was gone. Please check what’s under the hood of your app, you might need to optimized more.
